This blog contains all the information you need to successfully complete EDCI 271: Classroom Applications of Educational Technology. This will be a hybrid course which means part of the time we will meet face to face, and the rest of the time we will meet in hyperspace! This will help you understand how technology can be used to teach and learn. You will be able to discuss more knowledgably about the pros and cons of distance education after having this experience.

1st POST
This is a test to see if you can post a comment to this message. My question is....what ways have YOU use the web in the last week? For what purposes?
I use my computer on a daily basis for emailing, reading the news, course assignments, and research. I have also used it to look up fun web sites for children. I have a new computer so have had to update and download some previous web sites I use for virus protection and personal use. Have a Great Day! Denise Jenkins
I have used the internet to update my computer for viruses. Looked up course agendas and emailing family and former high school classmates. I also read the news, look at the educational newsletters I receive, and of course to do assignments. Have a Wonderful Weekend, Dr. Pratt Denise Jenkins
I have used the Internet in the past week to check my email, print off papers for classes, and for entertainment purposes (i.e. Myspace and Facebook- to keep in touch with my friends!)
I use the internet and my computer itself daily. I do my homework, check my e-mail, talk to my family and friends, and even check the weather. Without my computer I'd be lost!
I used the internet in the last week for preparing a lesson plan for the class I teach on Wednesday evenings, Instant Messaging and emailing friends and family, and researching information for several different classes.
I use my computer on a daily basis for both educational and recreational reasons.I check my e-mail everyday and every once in a while i will check on sports stats and such.I also use it for myspace and facebook.Well that is pretty much all i do. Have a good one -shaun aka kid nation:)
Honestly, if it wasn't for school, I probably wouldn't have used the internet too much. With that said, I, too, have used it for emailing, course infor, looking up info relevant for lesson plans, and so on.

I have used the web in the last week for checking e-mail, looking at and printing off course requirements for the new semester.
